When enrollment opens for one of Brooks Ann’s Prep School for Custom Sewing courses, you’ll find a link at the top and bottom of every page of this site. (If you are a Skirt Skills alum ready to enroll in Top Class or Smarty Pants, log into your account and then navigate to the Alum page on your Dashboard to enroll.)

If you are on the mailing list, you’ll also get an email as soon as enrollment opens with a direct link!

Enrollment opens separately for each course. When course dates are set, they will be shared at the top of this page (and all over the website). Due to the personalized nature of the courses, space is limited and the course occasionally sells out quickly. (One session sold out in less than 20 minutes!)

Skirt Skills, Smarty Pants, and Top Class offer a thorough and comprehensive curriculum, each with ~30 days of instruction, 15+ hours of videos, limited class size, a community of classmates, very personal support and feedback, and unlimited ongoing access. Tuition prices may vary and will be listed as the session dates are announced.

Brooks Ann’s Prep School for Custom Sewing courses are all virtual and you can participate from anywhere at any time! Though nothing happens “live,” I provide as close to an in-person experience as possible, with the added benefits of working at your own pace, in your own space. You choose when/what you want to share or keep to yourself.

If you ever feel like you need extra help, questions can be asked and answered anytime privately with me via email or in our private online Group (Mighty Network). I will also be available for Skype/Zoom/FaceTime and In-Studio Office Hours during the course.

Access to the course content and teacher support does not expire. Use the optional schedule as motivation or customize your own pace and take as long as you’d like. In custom sewing, slow and steady wins the race!

When the course you’ve enrolled in begins, each weekday, Monday through Friday, you’ll receive an email with a link to a new set of lessons in the online classroom. 

You can log in, view, and download the lessons at any time after that. Once a lesson is published, enrollees enjoy unlimited ongoing access. You are more than welcome to work at your own slower pace, without following the optional schedule. Take all year, if you need to!

All you will need is an updated computer or device with high speed internet access so that you can stream and download the content.

If you’d like to interact with your classmates, group conversations will happen in our private “Lab”. The Collaboratory Group (which is our own private group powered by Mighty Networks) is a supportive learning resource that I’d love for you to be a part of, (it’s like a Facebook Group-  not on Facebook!) but joining is completely optional. 

There will also be non-required feedback opportunities using Skype/ Zoom/ or FaceTime. Check the websites of these companies for their computer/tech requirements.

All of the videos and course materials will remain on the private Course Site indefinitely and, as an enrolled member, you will have unlimited ongoing access. The videos and worksheets are also available for you to download and store offline. Review portions of the class over and over every time you make a new custom garment for years to come!

The Group can also remain connected and active for as long as members want to continue to share and support each other. Previous Groups are still active with members enjoying the intimate sewing community they’ve created!

Bonus: Past enrollees can join any future session for any reason for only $50.

Once you’ve completed the registration form and paid your tuition, you’ll get an email confirming your enrollment. You’ll have access to the main course page, where you can review the tools and supplies list.

On Orientation day, enrollees will receive access to the Course Website and a link to the (optional) private Group. Lessons will begin posting the following day to start the journey!
